Details

This is a Vintage 1930's bike path racer.  Interesting bike.  The headbadge is from Joe's Auto Cycle Supply, out of Chicago IL.  The badge has been removed once and reattached (or was never on the bike in the first place) with pop-rivets after it was repainted matte black.  Not rideable with the current tires.

Here are the details:
no known manufacturer, model, date, other than "British Made"
frame was made in Britain with serial number R627695. (British made stamped on the bb)
steel tubeset, rough welds, pinch clamped bb with oiler, rear facing drops - not horizontal,
definitely path geometry, not track
crank is english and cottered, the rest of the parts look USA made - New Departure hubs, Mesinger saddle, Diamond chain, USA made tires
seatpost is small diameter L-bend solid post
Messinger Supreme leather racing saddle, dry and cracking
New Departure hubs, W up front and a single speed fixed cog in the back
wood clad rims

The bike and rims were painted matte black.  The tires (which are petrified) were also painted black on the sidewalls.  Tires are unrideable.
Measurements:
Seat Tube (center to center) - 20"
Top Tube (center to center) - 23"

Serial #R627695 (in fairly crude lettering)
Reference #133198
