Details
You could be the proud owner of this used vintage Schwinn Corvette 5 speed bicycle. Schwinn only built the Corvette as a 5 Speed in 1962. It was an attempt to add extra performance to a bike that ended up not being well received by it's intended market and was thus discontinued. The 5 speed friction shifting components were made by Huret in France.
Bike Condition
The bike appears to be all original with the exceptions of the new rack mount pieces (originals are included), tires and rear brake cable housing. It is unfortunately missing the original headlamp, headbadge, chain guard and rear reflector as well. The paint is in decent shape for it's age but has a fair amount of scratches and marks throughout the frame and some surface corrosion (most notably on the top tube). The wheels are mostly in true and the tires both have decent tread.
This bicycle has not been checked over by a mechanic and we would recommend a full tune-up before riding. This bike is being sold as-is. Please see photographs for details.
