Details
You could be the proud owner of this vintage Sekai bicycle. Hand built in Japan in 1977 this bike features a beautiful lugged frameset and ten speed SunTour Cyclone drivetrain. Perfect for the steel loving rider or collector, this bicycle is looking for a new home and it could be yours.
The Sekai company was a small family owned importer of Japanese goods. It grew out of a store called Velocipede which still exists and is owned by the same family. The Sekai name was co-owned by Shinwa trading company, who did all the exporting from Japan for Sekai. At one time, they owned four stores plus Sekai, and they did a mail order business through the Velocipede catalog.
BIKE CONDITION
The bike is in very good overall condition and free of bends, cracks and corrosion. The blue paint still has a good luster to it with very few small marks and scratches throughout the bike. The bike appears to be all original.
This bike has been fully tuned by a shop mechanic with many years of experience. Then the bike was given a thorough eighty three point inspection by the owner. Finally the owner rides the bicycle checking steering, braking and shifting. After you receive this bicycle minimal adjustments and assembly will be needed to be ready to ride.
This bicycle is being sold as is, please see photographs for details.
