From the 1991 catalog "A serious off-road racing machine.
The Paramount Series 90, our premier mountain bike, features a race geometry Tange Oversize Short Butted Prestige Frame with a "SUPER-LITE" G-Force PDG OS Fork. Up front, for quick, pinpoint control, there's a race proven PDG Alloy Stem and Ritchey Force Alloy Bars. Compact SunTour XC Pro Levers connected to the Dia-Compe 986 Alloy Cantilever Brakes-the lightest on the market. Also take note off the KOM Katahdin Black Skinwall Tires. And the revolutionary SunTour Grease Guard Hubs and Bottom Bracket system that reduces maintenance and increases off-road time.

From the 1991 catalog concerning the Paramount MOS-Mountain Oversize System
"A powerful, yet light, eight tube frame with oversized fork, headset, stem, and flared seat tube. Check out the oversized thin gauge tubing. The aggressive geometry. The G-Force Chain Stays-so unique they're patent-pending. And the exclusive Paramount G-Force Fork. The result is one light fast off-road frame. With greater Rigidity that gives you maximum transmission of muscle power from let to chainring to rear wheel. And maximum opportunity of showing your competition what the back of your jersey looks like. We found that the bottom of the head tube on ordinary off-road frames had a tendency to deform under the sustained abuse of competitive riding. But by using a 37mm oversized head tube, the load is distributed over a larger surface area creating a bike that's more durable. A bike that's stronger-yet light-thanks to its thin-walled butted oversized tubing. A bike that enjoys more effective braking thanks to new, stiffer MOS large diameter triple tapered oval seat stays. And a flared seat tube that makes the bottom bracket stiffer. SO virtually all of your pedaling energy gets translated into forward motion. The end result is the perfect off-road machine. The theory behind the Parmount G-Force fork-Straight forks tend to transmit shock right up to your arms and shoulders. The special G-Force fork we designed for Paramount mountain bikes continuously curves and tapers, dispersing shock through-out its length. The result is less shock. More control. G-Force chainstays-Chain slap. It sounds sloppy-and it is. Basically, it's caused by a design flaw whereby in low gears the chain rides too close to the chainstay and scars and pits the chainstay. Solution: Paramount. We gradually curved the chainstays, increasing the clearance between the stay and chain. So even in low gear, you get a minimum 1-inch clearance. Simple, but efficient."
