Up for auction is a Vintage 1956 Columbia Speedliner "Lightweight" bicycle.  This bicycle works well, With no major issues.  No dents or cracks.  Some small surface rust where the paint has been scratched, but otherwise in good condition.  With a light tune-up and some cleaning/polishing, this would be a great project.  Even the tires are original.

Columbia produced this bike as a "lightweight" version comparing it to balloon tire bikes.  Touted as the only true "American Lightwight", it was only 39.5 lbs.  This model is the 5 star version - a nicer higher quality model.  The Chainguard has an automatic oiler for the chain built in - "Lubri-Kleen".  This model also has the Bendix 2 speed lever operated coaster brake hub.

Headbadge is on the bike but is a little rough.

Miller front light is included, but the glass lens is cracked (but still in the light).  Also, the inside of the light is rusted and the inside light reflector is peeling.

Bendix 2 speed cable works well and shifts smoothly - also brakes fine.
