Details

You are buying a vintage Sears girls middleweight bicycle circa 1965.  Sporting "Jet-Sweep" styling and "3-Bar Frame" this 24" wheeled girls bike sports a twin-bulb headlight tank (uncertain if functional), chrome-plated fenders, rear carrier rack, and a Sachs Komet Torpedo single speed coaster brake rear hub (still engages).  We've dated this bicycle to roughly 1965 based on a 1965 Sears catalog scan that provides an identical match, according to the size chart this 16" frame size is perfect for girls 4-6 years old.  This model came in blue for the girls (this bike, red was offered for the boys bike) which is nicely accented with white striping, handlebar grips and saddle.  The stem handlebars and fenders are all chromed however by this point in time there is a pretty significant amount of pitting on the chrome. The blue paint job has held up fairly well however there's plenty of surface corrosion from time, if cleaned up though this could make a great restoration project.  This bicycle is all original, including the 24 x 1.75 Sears Crusader tires which although some small cracks have occurred appear to still be ride-able.  This bicycle has not been tuned by our shops mechanics so we would advice a full tune-up once re-assembled post shipping.  This bike is sold as-is.  Please see photographs for details.
