Details
This is a BMX conversion of what was once a 1967 Schwinn Stingray Deluxe 3 speed.  Basically, there are no parts left on the bike from the original spec.  The frame, spray painted black over the original Sky Blue, is all that's left.  The Sky Blue is still there under the black paint - not sure how much is left, but the black is very light and didn't stick very well.  Nice project to put some time and work into.
The bike has been modded out to race (more like ride) BMX.  The fork was changed out to a Tange TRX 500 chromed fork to support the wider tire.  The headset was upgraded with Hartford bearings.  The front wheel is now a Femco heavy duty with Hefty 12g spokes.  The rear is a Bendix 70 with a wider steel rim, no name.
The crankset is still a Schwinn one piece with 170mm arms, similar look to what you would find on a later Stingray, but the chainring has 5 holes in it, maybe for a type of guard?  Pedals are a KKT copy, in black, and in rough shape.  The handlebar and grips look like they came off of a Schwinn Hurricane - tall bars with sweet moto grips - decent shape.
The seat is a plastic FrecciaOdoro.
Nice anodized blue fluted seatpost.
Its a project.
