Details
You could be the proud owner of this vintage Schwinn Sting Ray. Built in February of 1979 in Chicago, IL this bike features a single speed coaster brake and a Green Bay Packers-esque colorway.
BIKE CONDITION
This retro bike is in decent condition with no major issues and appears to be all original aside from missing it's chain guard and having a new Veith slick rear tire. The Emerald Green paint is in good condition for it's age and still shines nicely although there are numerous marks and scratches throughout the frame. The yellow paint is a bit more faded and the Schwinn logos on the sides of the fork have faded with time as well. The chrome has some scratches and light pitting here and there that could be removed with some steel wool and elbow grease. The front tire appears to be the original and has small cracks in the sidewall from age but is ridable. The wheels spin smoothly and have only small amounts of corrosion but could use some truing to be perfect. The rear rim also has a couple minor bends near the edge or the rim (see first photo). Unfortunately the padding on the saddle has numerous rips and tears. The left pedal is missing one of the rubber blocks but is still usable as is. The bike is free from major dents or cracks.
While this bike is in good condition we always recommend a full tune up before riding as our shop has not tuned or adjusted anything on this ride.
This bike is being sold as-is. Please see photographs for details.
