You could be the proud owner of this vintage Specialized Stumpjumper mountain bike. Built in Japan in 1982 this collectible bike features a classic lugged steel frame and quality parts group. The Stumpjumper was generally considered the first "production" mountain bike. Since components specifically manufactured for mountain bikes had not yet come into existence companies such as Specialized would frequently mix and match components from a wide breadth of both bicycle and non-bicycle component styles. As seen on this bike are French touring brakes and crank, Japanese hubs, shifters and Derailleur, motorcycle brake levers and BMX stem and pedals. This classic bicycle is looking for a new home and it could be yours.

Bike Condition:

This bike appears to be all originally with the exception of the factory replacement rear tire, saddle, and possibly the pedals. The bike is in good overall condition and is free of corrosion, bends and cracks. the silver paint still has a good luster to it with only some small marks and scratches throughout the bike.

This bicycle appears to be ridable but we would recommend a tune up or safety check by a qualified mechanic before riding.
