This is a vintage 1918 Mead Ranger Superbe lightweight bicycle.  The bike is mostly a barn find, and it needs some work.  The paint is mostly there, under layers of a really bad silver and some black under that.  The original paint is that orangy/clay red color.  Might have been brighter in the past, but... The silver comes off pretty easily.
Front fender is red, rear... rust.  Both are a bit rough, but serviceable.

The Persons Majestic leather saddle is in decent shape, although there are some rips on the back of the saddle just under the seam.  Springs are in good shape.
Both rims are original, but missing some of the paint.  The original paint scheme is still visible, but not in great shape.  Rims are both in good shape, but not perfect.
The dog leg crank is in good shape and actually shiny.
Pedals are not original - they should be the Brampton pedals.
The chainguard was added on.  Not stock.
Bars and stem have poor chrome/nickel)

Original tires were the red color.  The tire that is on the bike is a yellow pinstriped US Royal Chain, in good shape.  Holds air.
