1961 Huffy Daisy Tandem Bicycle
This Huffy tandem is a fixer-upper but has some cool features of vintage tandems.
This is a used 1961 Huffy Daisy mixte tandem bicycle. This 26" wheeled tandem is a 2 speed kickback hub with a coaster brake and a caliper brake for the front. This tandem needs some work - a full tune would be adviseable, but all the parts are serviceable (except for brake housing/cable). Tires don't hold air, seats are serviceable (not exactly comfortable). The chrome on the rims is good but the rest of the chrome has been painted - along with the frame/fork, pedals, chainguard, fenders, has been painted a unique purple and mango. The frame/fork seem in good shape, but no decals and the paint is pretty thick but works well.
Rear handlebars seem original, front does not...

ok saddles, rear is original, front is replaced with a newer seat, nice schwinn black teardrop logo handlebar grips
Stem 60mm quill style, painted that yellow/mango color
Brake Lever - weinmann lever and a excel raceur caliper (purple) brake
Crankset - both cranks are 1 piece steel cranks with the timing chain on the drive side
Pedals - matching block 1/2" pedals, yellow
hubs - front: steel no name hub, rear: Bendix triple red stripe 2 speed kickback coaster brake hub - might need overhaul to get full braking power
