1962 Schwinn De Luxe American Bicycle

This is a Vintage used Schwinn De Luxe American adult cruiser bicycle.  This bike was manufactured on January 24th of 1962 (serial number dated) in Chicago IL, USA.  Aesthetically this bike is in nice condition, with little surface corrosion and few scratches in the "Radiant Red" paint job.  Chrome is in good shape overall and with some polish and a little elbow grease should shine up really well.  The chain guard is probably the only portion of the bicycle which is worse for wear as there are some significant scratches on the original paint.  The horn tank is unfortunately missing the guts of the horn and button.  We are uncertain as to wether or not the head lamp is still functional.  Features 26 x 1 3/4" wheels and tires (front is the original Schwinn Westwind Whitewall, rear tire is a Kenda Whitewall (not period)) as well as a Bendix 2 Speed Kick-Back Coaster break hub (low gear range (triple red band)).  All other equipped parts are original to this bike.  Please see photographs for details.
