You are buying a used and rare 1975 Swingbike. This vintage muscle bike is a blast to ride. Its original, but there are several missing pieces: chainguard (early swingbike), original rear tire, original front tire, front brake caliper and lever, and front fender. The paint is in rough shape. The frame and fork have several scratches, and there are a few spots where the blue paint is actually missing - the lower parts of the fork blades, the rear driveside chainstay, and up near the rear headset.
The seat is in ok shape but has a few tears/cuts near the front of the saddle. The blue on the vinyl hasn't faded out, but is a bit dirty still. You can still see the metallic flake in the blue.
The headbadge is in great shape although most of the decals on the frame are missing. Also, the swing lock is a bit loose when fully locked.
The rear tire is a vintage bmx 20" - which has been skidded out - and a basic Taiwanese 16" front tire. The rear hub seems a bit off - might not be original.
The swing bikes have a great history. The bikes were originally created in the 1960's, but weren't patented and put in production until 1974. The company produced bikes through the 70's, till about '78 or '79. They were made quite famous when they were advertised on the Osmand TV show and ridden by the youngest Osmand.
