Casati Lugged Steel Road Bicycle

More Views

You are buying a used Casati road bicycle. Hand built in Italy from Columbus Brain Double Butted tube sets this bicycle is everything you could want from a modern, lugged, steel road bike. Featuring internally cable routing for the rear brake, a Campagnolo Daytona 10 speed gruppo, and a carbon fiber front fork, this bike is equipped with everything necessary to satisfy a rider looking for the supple ride quality of steel in a performance oriented package. The Ferrari red paint job is still in good shape, although there are a couple of spots along the top tube that have been touched up. This bicycle was most likely manufactured sometime between 1999 and 2002 (the somewhat short live life of the Daytona component line). Founded by former racer Pietro Cassati in Monza Italy in 1920 and built bike for famed rider such as Gianno Bugno (who's win's included 2 World Championships, Italian national champion, the Giro D'Italia, Ronde Van Vlaanderen, and Milan-San Remo among others). The family tradition of building the highest quality of steel racing steeds has been carried on by Pietro son, Gianni Casati, who's sons also now help to run the family business, still located in Manza. This particular era of Casati distributed by R&A cycles out of Brooklyn, NY. This bicycle has been professionally tuned by one of our shops mechanics and once re-assembled post-shipping will be ready to ride.
