You are buying a new un-used bicycle made for riding on ice.  This Hungarian built bike has 2 metal skis - one in place of the front tire and the other right in front of the rear tire.  The rear tire isn't studded, it has a preforated metal grater type outer tread held on by the air pressure of the rear tire.   

The ice bike glides on the 2 metal runners.  The rear tire is actually just used for propulsion - its on a swingarm that is held to the ground with spring tension. 

The bike is a 1 speed with a rear coaster brake.  The rear hub is a "Super Grandt". 

The frame is all steel, hand welded.  Very sturdy, but freeriding is not suggested.

High handlebars and a comfy spring seat make those cross lake expeditions a fun adventure.  Don't just skate on the ice, ride a bike!
