Schwinn built Chicago Cycle Supply Cadillac Bicycle
Schwinn built balloon tire bike in decent shape.
This is a vintage Chicago Cycle Supply Cadillac ladies balloon tire bicycle. This bicycle was made by Schwinn for Chicago Cycle Supply, a large bicycle retailer. This Cadillac was the baseline model that Schwinn produced as Ladies Standard DX and rebadged for Chicago Cycle Supply. The Cadillac has no fork truss rods and it has a non-schwinn color. The bicycle is dated out to about post war - built somewhere between 1946 and August of 1948. Serial number correlates to the beginning of 1948, but no records support this. The bicycle has the built in kickstand, forward facing rear dropouts, removable seatpost clamp, built in chainguard mounts, and a skiptooth drivetrain.
This Cadillac has ok paint, but the paint has no gloss or luster left to it. Seems to originally be a brown and ivory color. There are several scratches/mars but nothing too noticeable. The frame does have some silver overspray on the non-drive chainstay next to the bb. The front fork also has some white spotting from presumably another spray can.
This bike is a definite rider. It needs a tune-up, and a good overhaul of the bearings. The wheels are rideable, but could use some truing.

Saddle - women's leather topped springer saddle, rails/springs are in ok shape, but the top is separating from the base and is ripped almost all around the pan
Stem - schwinn quill stem with a neat 0 length, good chrome
Handlebars - 21.5" cruiser bars with decent chrome and black grips (grips are in decent shape)
Crankset -1 piece steel drop forged cranks with a 4 circle design skiptooth chainring
Pedals - Women's block pedals, Torrington, worn but rideable
hubs - New Departure Model D rear coaster brake hub and a Schwinn script front hub, ok chrome but the front is starting to show some rust
rims - white painted Schwinn S2 balloon tire rims with 2 black pinstripes, starting to show some rust but ok shape

Skiptooth drivetrain needs some cleaning but works well. The rear hub stops but could use a rebuild for optimum braking.
