Schwinn Cycle Supply Co. Liberty Cruiser Bike
Lots of unique touches make this a must see!
Up for auction is a used Cycle Supply Co. Liberty balloon tire bike, made by Schwinn. This is basically a re-badged Schwinn Challenger model, without the tank and no fork truss. This Liberty is a skiptooth model, with the Schwinn Heart chainring. Dark red (maroon) in color, with cream pinstripes and accents. Beautiful headbadge in good shape. Most of the bike is original, except for the rear tire and handgrips and maybe the rear wheel.
The bike is rideable, but needs a good tune and a rear hub overhaul. The rear brake works, but the cranks must rotate backwards almost 3/4 of a rotation to get to the stopping point. The skiptooth chain is fine but could use some cleaning and degreasing (like the rest of the bike). Some of the chrome on the heart chainring is missing. Frame is straight without any dents or dings that we could find. Paint is ok, but there is definitely some scratches and surface on some of the tubes. Both tires are shot and useless.
Original front fender lite is in rough shape - missing the top of the lid, but still has the original lens.
